In recent years, with the advancement of the "Belt and Road Initiative", the number of trains of China-Europe Railway Express passing through the station has continuously increased, leading to a rise in the volume of shunting operations within the station.

Up to now, the Alataw Pass has seen a total of 109 China-Europe routes passing through, covering 25 provinces across China and connecting to 21 countries including Germany and Poland. The transported goods encompass more than 200 types from eight categories, including automobiles and parts, cotton yarn, and timber.

近些年，随着“一带一路”建设的推进，车站办理交接的中欧班列数量不断增加，站内调车作业量也持续攀升。截至目前，阿拉山口铁路口岸通行中欧班列线路累计达到109条，通行中欧班列线路已覆盖全国25个省份，通达德国、波兰等21个国家，搭载的货物涉及汽车及配件、棉纱、木材等8大类200余种。
